Karma & the Laws

Ramlal prays for two hours everyday, early in the morning before going to his office. The omnipotent and omnipresent God answers his prayer by giving/ adding 500 points to his Balance Sheet of action. As God through His Laws of Nature says, in this era/yuga I see that many do not have time for me even for a minute. Or if people do remember me they do it for 5-10 minutes and here heis remembering me for 2hrs every day hence he deserves 500 points. Ramlal, after finishing his two hours long puja is found screaming at the servant saying “Where are my clothes you fool”. The omnipresent God takes 50 points away for his bad behavior and now Ramlal's Balance Sheet reads 450 points. Then there is a phone call and Ramlal tells his wife to lie that he is not at home. God further takes away 100 points as he finds Ramlal troubling and harassing someone. Hereafter, Ramlal goes to the office and continues doing evil, selfish deeds and breaking promises and commitments and at the end of the day God takes away 700 points from him. Hence the Balance Sheet now reads negative (-) 200 points. Ramlal angrily, exclaims, questioning the existence of God by saying “God do you actually exists or not, because the first thing in the morning after bathing I do is worship you for 2 hrs everyday. And forget sustaining me and realizing my submissions, you have further deteriorated my wealth, health and happiness, God do you actually exists?” Ramlal does not realize that reasons for the downfall in life are his own actions and not God, because He is impartial and His accounts never go wrong.

As stated in Bhagvad Gita by Lord Krishna:

In Text 9 Ch=9 Lord Says: “ALL THIS WORK CANNOT BIND ME. I AM EVER DETACHED FROM ALL THESE MATERIAL ACTIVITIES, SCATED AS THOUGH NEUTRAL”.

In Text 29 Ch=9 Lord Says: “I ENVY NO ONE, NOR AM I PARTIAL TO ANYONE. I AM EQUAL TO ALL. BUT WHOEVER RENDERS SERVICE UNTO ME IN DEVOTION IS A FRIEND, IS IN ME AND I AM ALSO A FRIEND IN HIM”.

In Ch=5 Text 15 Lord Says: “NOR DOES THE SUPREME LORD ASSUMES ANYONE'S SINFUL OR PIOUS ACTIVITIES. EMBODIED BEINGS, HOWEVER, ARE BEWILDERED BECAUSE OF IGNORANCE WHICH COVERS THE REAL KNOWLEDGE”.

These above texts clearly depicts that God is impartial, he does not assumes anyone's role or does he induce or create circumstances at his whims and fancies. Every circumstance is created by the individual's actions and the circumstances are reaction to his actions. With positive and negative actions, positive and negative circumstances unfold respectively. He has His Laws called as Laws of Nature, which are working impeccably on His Behalf.

What are Laws? Laws are the rules and regulations, which are equal for every one of us. Otherwise the meaning of Law would be Lawlessness if they were not to be same for all of us. Since Laws are same and equal for every one of us, hence the results as per Karma would be appropriate. IN Bhagvad Gita CH III TEXT (33) LORD SAYS: ALL PEOPLE ARE SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF NATURE.EVEN A WISE MAN ACTS ACCORDING TO HIS NATURE, WHICH HE HAS ACQUIRED FROM THE THREE MODES. WHAT CAN REPRESSION ACCOMPLISH?

If one does not accept the results bestowed upon by the Laws of Nature, one should think again. Instead of questioning the Laws of Nature one should question his own actions. After all as the above text says what can repression accomplish? One should not brood over the result but should proactively introspect on his thoughts and actions. Problem is not with the result but with the understanding that we have about them.

If we Look around us, we don't hear that today one planet has overtaken the other planet or planets are changing their orbits or Jupiter has become smaller then Mercury. Similarly, we don't have to pump our hearts to make it work, nor the lungs, lever etc. This suggests that everything in this world is working in synchronized manner, which also validates that Laws of Nature at work give results in a logical manner. Surely, when we are not able to comprehend it, we term it as magic, luck or coincidence.

If you tell a man, who is oblivious about computer, that through computer you can communicate with people in the different part of the universe promptly, what will be his reaction? He may exclaim “O God what kind gadget have you send on the Earth that man can communicate anywhere in the world in no time. But the hardware and software engineers who have worked on the computer know how it has to be done. Hence, computer is the magical happening or magic for him but for the engineers it is something Logical. Everything in this world, as already stated, is working in synchronized and logical manner but when we are not able to comprehend what is going around us we call it magic, coincidence and tend to have feeling of helplessness and hopelessness.

So, the next time if one feels lost and helpless, one must remind himself the texts from Bhagvad Gita which makes one realize that it is your free will and the Laws of Nature at work in tandem.
